Seadrill secures four more years for West Navigator

Published Jun 25, 2007

Bermuda-registered driling contractor Seadrill has secured a new four-year, $810 million replacement deal with Hydro and Shell for its drill ship West Navigator.

The floater had been fulfilling a “well-by-well” contract at the offshore-Norway gas field Ormen Lange, a deal with options that would have ended in April 2009. The new Letter of Award secures work from January 1 2009 onward.
