Oceanteam

Offshore construction outfit Oceanteam Power & Umbilical has hired out its DP2 cable lay and repair vessel TEAM OMAN to Nexans Norway for umbilical repair work in the Middle East.

The company will earn €3 million over the boat’s 55-day charter, and the contract comes with an option.

The two vessels are still under contract for RASPETCO in the “deepwater” off Egypt. The new job starts as July ends.

The Team Oman had been scheduled to return to the North Sea to support a pipeline trenching project for Gaz de France in the Dutch Sector. Oceanteam secured instead the REM Etive from TS MARINE in Aberdeen for the Gaz de France project which starts in about 10 days.
