The giant Shtokman gas field in the Russian Barents Sea will cost “$16 billion overall” with a gas pipeline to Vyborg on the Baltic coast, plant for liquefied natural gas west of the city at Tyribuka village plus a plan to develop Murmansk port, _OilGas24_ learned at the weekend. 
State-owned GAIL (India) Ltd plans to invest Rs 180 billion ($4.18 billion) over the next few years in five new pipeline projects and upgradation of the existing trunk lines to take the fuel from gas fields and import locations to consumers. 
Technip will install water-injection flowlines and risers at the Ursa and Princess field developments in the Gulf of Mexico, the Paris-based oilfield services outfit declared Wednesday.
GAIL-RIL sign MoU for Joint Co-operation Mar 19, 2007
GAIL (India) Limited and Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in gas sector. The MoU was signed on 15th March 2007 by Mr. R K Goel, Director (Finance), GAIL and Mr. P M S Prasad, President and CEO, Petroleum, Reliance Industries Limited, in the presence of GAIL CMD, Dr. U D Choubey.
