Aibel to manage Aussie Puffin FPSO

Aibel Pty Ltd. has won the farreaching job of managing the floating production, storage and offloading vesssel Front Puffin FPSO off northwest Australia.

Norway-based Sea Production Management owns Puffin FPSO Ltd. which fronts the ship destined to serve the Puffin field. The two-year contract comes with four one-year options. Aibel will preside over all vessel supplies and support, including helicopter services.

Managers said in a statement that Aibel in Perth, Australia and Stavanger Norway will network electronically in “a real breakthrough for facility management and operations” Down Under.

No dollar amounts were disclosed for the deal.
