Pioneer Natural Resources Company has discovered a new gas field in northern Alberta and initiated production at a gross rate of approximately 18 million cubic feet of gas per day (MMcfpd) from three wells. Pioneer has a 100% working interest and a 75% net revenue interest in the new field assuming a 25% sliding-scale government royalty. 
Crosstex Energy, L.P. announced the start-up of its $90 million pipeline expansion in northern Louisiana, which initially adds capacity of 200 million cubic feet of gas per day (MMcf/d) to Crosstex's existing Louisiana Intrastate Gas pipeline system (LIG), the state's largest intrastate pipeline network. 
Mr. John C.S. Lau, President & Chief Executive Officer of Husky Energy Inc., announced that the company has received regulatory and government approval to increase production to 140,000 barrels per day at the White Rose oil field, 350 kilometres southeast of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
