Nigeria troops kill attacker, as kidnappings peak

Nigerian special troops have stymied a purported kidnapping attempt at a Daewoo yard and reports indicate one would-be kidnapper was killed and several injured.

The failed attack at Mbiana in the southern Rivers state comes a day after a Briton a Bulgarian and two Royal Dutch Nigerian engineers were taken hostage, Thomson-Financial reported Tuesday.
